This is the dress I made for my faerie doll. She only has two. I'm a little stuck for ideas. I like that her wings are made of lace! Haha! It's like a playful take on a Victorian dress. Maybe a little ironic symbolism? When I figure it out I'll let you know! Haha!
This dress is pretty much her "real dress." I used a gel pen to outline the places that I used glitter, and then poured it on and shook off the extra. It's hard and annoying, but pretty!

I wanted to show you some of my sketches. Here is a guy named Daal. He is asking Lissanne to marry him. Yes, I turned his face away and put a bush to hide him. The characters are owned by my friend who is writing a book, and Lissanne is a character she made for me.
She's so pretty!!!
Here is my Cinderella picture! One of my faves! I love her dress and hair. Gel pen rose in her hair and vine stems. Oil pastel color.
And the shoes! Tada! I colored them with the sea foam color I used for the dress and outlined them in pink silver shadow gel pen!
This set took almost a year. I started with the brown-haired one and traced the red head from her pattern. They are about 8 inches and so much fun!
See the white dress's collar? Tiny beads. With a toothpick and glue. And that's not much for me, but it took ages. I lost my tiny microphone. They look like vintage club singers!
No, they aren't wings. It's a SCARF!!! SHAWL!!! THINGY!!! The other one I love! The lace and everything is so cute, and I love the rose! But I didn't get my lines quite right. Oh well...
My most recent. Gel pen swirls took forever! My sister says she would wear the short on to a prom! Haha! They turned out great!Hope you enjoyed!

I adore that Cinderella picture! It looks amazing! And there's my dress too! You have to admit, it looks pretty darn good!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It does!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought about being a clothing designer?
ReplyDeleteI have a little but I music is more important. Plus, I wouldn't be able to design a shirt without flowers.
